The Louisville Alumnae chapter delegates at the 2010 Delta Zeta convention in Tucson, Arizona. The Delta Zeta Louisville Alumnae chapter won one of six Alumnae Chapter Excellence awards, the Gertrude Houk Faris Award (for outstanding alumnae/collegiate programming) and was also recognized for outstanding Philantrophy programs. Service to Others
The photo (below) was taken for the 2009 Build-A-Bear Project the for Starkey Hearing Foundation. On March 14 Delta Zeta Alumnae and chapter members met at the Build-A-Bear to donate bears to the Starkey Hearing Foundation. The SHF visits third world countries thought-out the year providing hear test and hearing aids to those in need. Delta Zeta has partnered with the SHF to provide bears for the children who receive hearing aids. The Louisville alumnae chapter and Beta Gamma chapter (University of Louisville) will donate 40 bears to the SHF. at Build-A-Bear on March 14, 2009. DZ Alums donated bears to the Starkey Hearing Foundation to give to children in third world countries with hearing aids.
