Delta Zetas strive for academic excellence. As a member of Delta Zeta, there is a strong consideration given towards the scholarship and academic achievement. Delta Zeta stresses good scholarship in accordance with each member's ability and will help her in reaching her highest capability.

The best possible education is more than just good grades. It is excellence and a sound attitude toward learning. Delta Zeta places a strong emphasis on scholarship. Delta Zeta also has resources available to help our members keep their grades up.  We actually have two Delta Zeta alumnae on campus who serve as our Faculty and Academic Advisors.

We require a minimum 2.5 GPA to pledge and to continue in good academic standing after initiation. However, we encourage members to maintain GPA's above 3.0. Members earning a 3.0 or better for the second consecutive semester are presented with a pearl to affix to their Delta Zeta Badge. The extra pearl "dangle" on the Delta Zeta badge signifies academic excellence to Delta Zeta collegiate and alumnae all across the United States.

The Beta Gamma chapter's grade point average for the 2010 spring semester cummulative grade point average was a 3.4 and we rank #1 of all of the NPC sororities at the University of Louisville! Beta Gamma's Cumulative GPA for the fall semester was a 3.262, and the chapter was recognized for having a GPA above the All Women's Average for the Spring and Fall 2009 Semesters.  Actually for the past six semesters, the cummulative grade point average for the chapter has been above a 3.25 which has placed DZ as one of the top chapters in academic rankings at the University of Louisville.
