The Beta Gamma chapter of Delta Zeta again impressed the crowd at this year's Fryberger Greek Sing with a DZ "Weather Report" arrangement. Delta Zeta won the "Best Solo" and also took home second place. Delta Zeta has won the Greek sing the last 12 out of 17 years! When DZ has not won the competition, we have placed in the top three performances.

December Parker, Tara Lutz Schwartz (center) and Rachel Shee Overstreet pose for a photo opportunity during a princess reunion that was held during Kentucky Derby Festival activities. The Derby Festival Princesses act as ambassadors for the Derby Festival and the city as they represent the community at a variety of functions, including an appearance on NBC's Today Show. Delta Zeta has had over seven Beta Gamma members chosen as Derby Princesses over the past 15 years.
Congratulations to chapter members Kara Schultz for being names a 2011 Finalist, Nicole Wells Anik for being names a 2010 Finalist and 2nd Alternate and to Rachel Meyer for being named a 2009 Finalist!
Sigma Chi Derby events are held to assist a number of charitable causes, some allocating a percentage of the proceeds to a local philanthropy and part to the Children’s Miracle Network. Since Sigma Chi began raising money for charitable causes, the Fraternity has raised well over $2 million for these groups.

Delta Zeta Recognized by the Miss Kentucky Pageant
In May of 2011, Delta Zeta and the Miss U of L pageant were recognized by the Miss Kentucky Scholarship pageant for the most amount of cash scholarship money raised by the 32 local pageants throughout the state!
