The Purpose of Delta Zeta
The purpose of this sorority shall be to unite its members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, to stimulate one another in the pursuit of knowledge, to promote the moral and social culture of its members, and to develop plans for guidance and unity in actions; objects worthy of the highest aim and purpose of associated effort.

Congratulations to the Beta Gamma chapter for receiving Delta Zeta's highest award - the Council Award at the 2012 Delta Zeta National convention on July 6, 2012. Members of the chapter executive board are photographed with National President Michelle Smith. This award recognizes a Delta Zeta chapter for six consecutive years of high achievement within all levels of chapter operations in addition to a chapter with recognized as a top organization/sorority on their campus. The Beta Gamma also won the Crest Award for two years of excellence in all areas of chapter programming. The Louisville Alumnae Chapter also won the award for the TOP large alumnae chapter in the country! Finally, we would like to also recognize Louisville Alumnae, Jennifer Arington for winning the Acoth Award - A national award given to Delta Zeta alumnae for their dedication and many years of service.





The Delta Zeta Auction - Bidding For Good!
The Delta Zeta Auction is the largest fundraiser for the chapter and a join project with the Louisville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Zeta. We raised over $20,000.00 in the fall of 2012 and look forward to our 2013 event! Funds raised benefit our national philantrophy of Speech and Hearing in addition to our other philantrophy partner, The Painted Turtle Camp. The event is open to all DZ family members, alums and FODZ (friends of DZ).
On Sunday, Februry 24, 2013, the Beta Gamma Chapter hosted the sixth annual Miss University of Louisville pageant, a Miss America preliminary. We would like to congratulate our 2013 Miss University of Louisville, Amelia Gandara, and our 2013 Miss Cardinal Country, Sarah Concanougher. Both will compete for the title of Miss Kentucky in June. The Beta Gamma chapter will provideed over $10,000 in scholarships to the winners.
